Peace and Quiet
If you’d like to get away from it all and go off-grid in the glorious Kent countryside, then come and spend some time in our handmade Shepherd’s Huts and our beautiful spacious bell tents which are situated in the middle of our conservation farm. This idyllic and picturesque campsite is surrounded by re-wilded meadows and ancient, peaceful woodland with sea views. Time to recharge your batteries not your phone’s battery!
Campsite
Our established family-run glamping site is surrounded by 200 acres of ancient woodland, with only five units in a ten-acre field that is nestled in 200 acres of ongoing rewilding and conservation projects. The site has views of woodland, fields and sea views over Seasalter. We encourage you to do nothing except enjoy the environment, sit under the stars on a comfortable sofa by your fire pit and raise a glass to nature and simplicity. Due to the working nature of the farm, we are unfortunately unable to accommodate under 18s or dogs.
Staying Here
We are very laid back on the farm and want you to have the best stay. We will look after you and in return, you look after us. You will be ‘camping’ in a ten-acre field with five other units, surrounded by 400 acres of countryside. The distance you choose to be from each other is up to you.
We have one shower and a flushing toilet (as well as two composting ones in the field) that we will do our best to keep clean. There will be paper hand towels, hand wash and bacterial sprays so hopefully together we can reduce any risk of infection. Units are cleaned and sprayed thoroughly between guests. We also have a cold wellbeing shower situated in the field – it’s refreshing and for the brave!
Freshly baked French baguette is provided free for Sunday breakfast if required.
Conservation and Rewilding
All fields have been put down to traditional English meadows to provide food and cover for the wildlife. We use no pesticides or chemicals on the land and have joined forces with Natural England, The Woodland Trust, The RSPB and the Bumblebee Conservation Trust teams to bring back as much fauna and flora as possible to attract as much wildlife back to the farm and woodland
Woodland
Working with Natural England this ancient woodland has been managed to benefit all wildlife and fauna. It is full of established footpaths and is teeming with wildlife.
During early spring there is a thick carpet of bluebells and primroses that spread as far as the eye can see throughout the trees. The summer is lazy and full of colour and wildlife, while in autumn you can enjoy the wonderful, changing colours of the countryside. There are also large ponds close to the site which are home to many birds and plants

“I just wanted to say thank you for all your hospitality this weekend. I know everyone had a brilliant time and it did all of us a lot of good to be able to get away, enjoy nature, and spend some time doing nothing.
The place was perfect and you provided everything we needed. I’m definitely very keen to come back in the summer sometime.”
Thanks Ellenden Farm!”
”I booked this getaway for my parents 30th wedding anniversary. On their return, the owner kindly put a complimentary bottle of champagne on ice in the hut. They had such an amazing time and loved everything about it. Everything was to such a high standard and they really didn’t want to leave. They’re planning on booking another stay with you shortly. Thank you so much”
”We loved the comfortable cosy cabin, everything you needed was provided with a nice warm welcome we had a really pleasant 3 nights stay. We will definitely be back to continue exploring the area”

“Had a lovely stay at Ellenden farm this weekend, we didn’t get the best weather but it was still beautiful and peaceful. The owner Blair is very welcoming and helpful. I’m not one for camping but we will definitely be back, Was sad to leave this morning. Thank you for having us.”
“A fantastic hidden spot for a lovely break. We used two bell tents and a hut and were instantly impressed with all.
The set up outside each is beyond expected, like a cosy living room but outside. We loved the gas BBQs and used them both nights.
Would highly recommend.”
“Thank you for the great glamping overnight! Sitting outside in the afternoon sun doing absolutely nothing was good for us both.”
